Had this happen to me recently as well. Stopped at a Yard Sale. The lady asked if I was looking for anything specific. I answered yes, we are making pillowcase dress for little girls in Haiti & I am looking for fabric & notions/trims for this project. She gave me two large plastic tubs full of fabric & notions & said there was more where that came from. Her mother was cleaning out her sewing room. This was only the beginning & they would call & let me know when the project was completed & I could come pick up the "rest". Thanking the Lord for them & that stop that morning. It took me a week or more to wash, dry, iron, fold & organize all of that fabric. There will be LOTS of darling dresses for those little girls in the coming weeks & months. And, probably several donated children's quilts as well. So much fun!! What a special blessing & huge praise for God's provision.

That's great really. If there is any quilting material that you think is not suitable for kids' quilts please consider donating to this non profit organization (www.breastcancerdiy.com). I have been helping this organization make mastechtomy pillows for local breast cancer patients for a year now.
Thanks

[quote=ccearley]My s-i-l responded to an ad on Craigslist re: fabric. When she told the lady we make Quilts for Kids, the lady DONATED it ALL to her.
What a good Samaritan that lady is and what a windfall for you, your sister and the children. Congratulations.
