My grandson is graduation from high school this year and I want to do a memory picture quilt for him. I'm not sure what material I should use, denim or cotton for the saching and borders? I saw Joanns has a light weight denim. The pattern also has sq.on sq. rows which would put cotton and denim sewn together. Would it put apart. I'm very nervous, can't seem to just "jump right in " and start it.
Thanks for the help. All the ones I've looked at here are beautiful.

I have never used denim, but I don't see why you couldn't use it with cotton. Everyone I have ever made was for a boy. it does make it difficult trying to pick out material
