Retired as a Help Desk on government computer system. After talking on the phone all day, I hate to talk on the phone now!

I know what you mean......when I built telephones, we had to plug them in and check to see if they rang, and then we had to answer them. I hate telephones now, and I avoid answering them if my DH is in the house. :-)

I had originally written that I was a Doctor of Optometry. True, but you know the occupation I loved the most? On a year's sabbatical from practicing, I worked as a Family Service Counselor for a LARGE cemetery. I loved, loved that position and never felt so fulfilled as I did when helping people in need.

I am presently a Justice of the Peace Judge. Prior to this I was a police officer. Quilting is my "therapy" away from the criminal world I have dealt with for the past 29 years.

I am on a disability pension due to problems from long years working on different farms. My back is out of whack so it takes me longer to make a quilt due to the pain.
