I'm glad everyone is liking their blocks. I must confess that I am only making one of the blocks that I send out and my mom is making the second block. I let her have half my F8 spots (18 for me, 18 for her) so she is wanting to make a block for everyone, too! We are both having a great time and it allows us to spend some fun time together. :)

Star - Is that your DD in the photo? She is adorable! And she has a great smile!

April - My DS10 picked out the blocks and fabrics for Izzy. He really enjoys helping (and sewing on the computerized machine! He loves to do machine embroidery!) The patterns are all from a book called Block Magic by Nancy Johnson-Srebro. All the block are made from squares or rectangles. If you haven't seen this book yet, I recommend checking it out of the library. It is a good introduction to some pieced blocks if you are adverse to paper-piecing (or like me, you simply haven't tried it yet!).

Both my boys (DS10 and DS15) have helped choose fabrics and patterns for a lot of the blocks. Eventually, I will convince one of them to actually sew a block! lol

I received a wonderful block from Kathy N today. I will post a photo soon. Thank you, Kathy! :)

What AWESOME blocks oatw13 & mom that you did for Izzy. I'm gonna have to check the book out. I really need to start having a pad of paper and pen next to me when I'm on here, there are so many ideas and information from everyone that MUST be written down.

This is great! Some of the fabric I was just oh so confused as what to do with it, NOW I KNOW everyone gave me ideas to help me through those fabrics. Now since I'm playing SHHHHHHHHHH hookie, hehehehe I'm going to go wash fabric and dry then start start sewing if I'm good (never happen) I'll try to get them all out today so I can finish getting rest of my fabric out. Hey has anyone heard from Ardvark?
