Good for you. Man I can't imagine sharing the small space with 3 quilters because I'm such a messy quilter.

Great idea!!! I just recently converted my living room (which is the first room you walk into from the front door) into my sewing room.

Great idea. This rule does not apply to stashes.....

So happy for you! It will be so much fun when you can spread out a little bit more. Yes, like all the rest, send pics when finished.

Brilliant thinking. We did something similar because we never used our formal dining room either. We had this formal dining/living room combo that was so haughty that we never used it. :) So we took our family room furniture, threw it into the living/dining area and now we use those 2 rooms as our great room. We love it because we went wild with oranges, reds, yellows to make it fun and inviting. Then we took our family room and turned it into the sewing studio. Lots of room in there. We don't even miss the formal dining area. Mary

I just had a thought and apologize if someone already gave this hint....I've only read page one.
With three quilters, why not put your tables in the center of the room so you all face each other? What fun to watch each other twist their tongues, wrinkle their brow, etc when having difficulty with a project. Sure beats facing a wall! Just a thought.
Glad you found a new, BIG room to enjoy with your daughters!
