    Hate to admit it, but it's a log cabin gone wrong. I had no pattern really. When I finished the blocks, they turned out to be a little oblong rather than square so I couldn't do anything with them but turn them on a diagonal ( at least as far as I could figure out!) So that' what I did and then used trimmings for frame, border, and piece down the back! I thought it all worked out okay and somewhat unique. Thanks for asking.

    That's gorgeous - great colour balance, looks like an experienced quilter did it - I'm copying the pattern for future projects.
