    Yellow, definitely yellow-or gold if it is gold. The other colors will draw the eye to the binding which, IMHO, is not the star of the show. Either of them will distract from that lovely braid border and center. Keep it Simple.

    I think I would do top and left side red
    and bottom and right side green.
