I love the idea of signature blocks!

Also, I think I'm one of the ones 'accused' of being an overachiever because I posted a few blocks in late December/early Jan. But I was on break from work and exactly what I thought would happen has come to fruition. I haven't sewn a stitch since returning to work! Maybe this weekend. In any event, I have not dropped out and have loved seeing everyone's blocks.

Signature blocks sound good, till you think about the magnitude of the whole thing. If we have 117 ?? participants, that means that we have to make another 117 blocks to give one to everyone. Wow, I am having trouble just getting around the 169 for the DJ. Then, comes the part of getting them to everyone. Do we have a central place to send all of them, and someone to get them all mailed back out? And people are making different sized blocks, so what size block would be used? Don't mean to be a wet blanket, but just throwing out some ideas. I don't back my quilts with cotton, so if I did this, I would end up with another whole quilt. Which is fine with me. I know that if we do it, I would use block A8, which to me is just screaming to be a signature block. I know that on mine, it will be my signature block. It was quick and easy. And there might be more farther into the quilt. I haven't looked.

I'm still waiting on my fabric. I hope it shows up soon! Of course it has already shown up on the credit card. Seems like I ordered it ages ago. Just about the day I thought it should come, the snow hit-hard. We are still without power (2 full days, starting day 3) Thank goodness for the generator.
Love the pics of everyone's blocks. Hope I can catch up!

I would imagine that not everyone would want to exchange signature blocks, so we wouldn't have to make 117. But it would have to be a very simple block.

Gus, your blocks turned out well. I sent you a PM about the swap. We had a small emergency, so I didn't get back to you right away... sorry.

We could do just a simple Rail Fence with what is leftover from our quilts.

Ladies, be sure to vote on the Purse challenge!!
