I've heard some folks talk about not liking Civil War fabrics but look at how beautiful they are when made up into a lovely traditional quilt like this. You are a bad influence because I"m off to start my Civil War fabric collection...and my stash is already bulging into the sewing room!! This is just lovely!!

) The Civil War fabrics can be kind of drab, but for certain traditional patterns they can work well. I don't usually like traditional quilt patterns, being drawn more to modern quilting, but lately I've been doing a few trads in my own, updated way. That's fun.
