    Pattern calls for 12 1/2 inch block. But you can adjust and make any size. I just made one for myself and made it 16 1/2 inches.

    I like your calendar - a lot. It folds-up which is a really good idea. I will try this today. I have a calendar next to my phone and the space is a mess from all the stuff that collects with the calendar. The fold-up will work.

I hope this question makes sense. Also what is the hanger tab look like that you slip on the dowel? Maybe a picture would help me better understand! I'm having a duh day, lol
