I have used organ needles in my sergers for 30 years...never knew they made them for sewing machines!
Thanks for the tip! I wonder if the hole is better than the topstitch needle for embroidering, or the same.

The Superior titanium coated topstitch needle is made by Organ for Superior Threads. They recommend the size 90 for machine embroidery and quilting, as the most perfect needle (for other uses as well--metallic threads, etc.). That's what I use, and I never have a needle problem. They also last, it seems like, forever.

I use Organ needles all the time on my PfAFF. I find them to be excellent and yes, I do change my needled more often as a result of a cheaper price.

schmetz fans who like to buy in bulk will find decent prices at jhittlesewing.com
their bulk prices are very reasonable, plus they often put them on sale.
that's the first place i go to shop for shmetz.

i buy my organ needles at either ctsusa.com or at jhittle.
i know if i fish around long enough i might find them for less [than cts] at amazon, but it can take a while to find a vendor there who carries exactly the size and type needle i need.

I use them all the time on my Bernina, have not had any issue at all with them.

At the price you can get them at, you can change them more often and also have a good assortment of size.

Has anyone used Klasse`needles? That's what my sewing center sells. I've recently inherited a bunch of Singer needles, should I use them in my Janome 7700? I'm very tempted to try the organ needles, great price!
