    I also like using panels. See if the panel has the name of the manufacturer and design on the selvage. If you go to their website some have patterns for their panels. Also, try googling the name of the panel - sometimes you will find photos of quilts using that particular design.

    Here is a top I just made today. My 5 year old granddaughter loves unicorns, purple and rainbows. This top fits the bill.

    midwife...I like your take on the unicorn panel. Can you give me the name of the manufacturer, please? I know a sweet girl who also loves unicorns.

    nativetexan....Your butterfly panel quilt is lovely. I like the gold accent border. I have the same panel but haven't made it into a quilt. Thank you for posting the inspiration.

    Here's one I designed using EQ8, still in progress though and I haven't decided what fabric to surround the panel itself but you can get an idea what I did by adding pieced sashing and blocks to enlarge the quilt to queen size.
