When I read you pics post, it hadn't dawned on me that these were 'bow ties'.... terrific stitch choice!

I'm working on my crazy quilt again (this is a long time UFO) so am using all sorts of decorative stitches. I'm having a lot of fun with my new embroidery machine, but I also know I'd have been fine with just my straight stitch machine too. It's all about what a person wants to experiment with.

I haven't done much with them. I routinely use the 1/4" stitch for piecing, but that's about it. Sometime I use the zigzag or a variation. I'd like to do more with them.

I’ve seen them used to embellish wall hangings...and it was very cute!! Made me try to “think outside the box” more and use those stitches!!!

This one has decorative stitches between all the rows. It's just fun.

I bought this tote bag pattern to use some of the hundreds of decorative stitches on my machine. The tote is great but it took me almost 3 days to decide which stitches to use...... That many stitches causes "analysis paralysis" in a big way. Love seeing all the ideas here and plan to try some. Seems like a good way to use up some of the thread I have collected too.
