Lisa, what great colors! Welcome back to the BOOM. I was up in your neck of the woods recently. My husband's family is from KY and we try to go camping near Eddyville as often as possible. I might be up there this summer to do a cousin camping trip. Somehow he and I are now the old timers of the family and there is a whole new brood of under 12 year olds that we need to go fishing with as we catch up with their parents. Lake Barkley, here we come!

I envy your proximity to Paducah.

Ibex94 Eddyville is only about 20 minutes from us. We usually launch our pontoon on Kentucky Lake and will motor over to Lake Barkley to eat at Hubie's ... great food there! My sister & I are almost the eldest in our core family and it's a weird feeling when you look around at the youngin's. How did this happen so quickly??? Give a holler if you do come down and we'll see what's up.

On my test post of the fabrics I wanted to mention I sent oversized pieces (that's just me being cautious) as well as a 9 x 9 piece of the opposite color for your use. I really appreciate the overlooking of the star block requests. Please feel free to keep any leftover fabrics.

Good morning. Today’s our last day of signups. Anyone fence sitting, jump on over and join us.

Time to have a sip of coffee and start my day. Hope it’s a good one for you.

I love that you have a pontoon! That is the best way to float around on that lake as far as I'm concerned. And I am 100% with you about the time warp that brought us to today. How did time pass so quickly? If we do manage to make it up there for an extended camping trip this summer, I will be sure to let you know where we are. One of the cousins is bringing a pontoon, she said. I'm not sure yet where my husband wants to set up. Likely somewhere on the land between the lakes. I'll be sure to let you know. -- Juana

Can we do applique stars on the block Moonwork? Would that fit with your vision? I try to do as much applique on the boom blocks as possible.

    Default Ready for the mail

My little packages of F8 are ready to go. I had to do the hunt to find my little bags. Found them still full of the blocks you all sent to me in the fall. Yes, I could say I am a bit behind.

Anyhoo, I am ready now. Just a heads up. The photo I am sending, and I took several, looks like the little golden flowers are on blue background. They are not. No matter where and which which device, even a good Cannon camera, it looks like the background is blue. It is actually a weird and wonderful green. So, I have asked for your Bloomer Boomers to only use cream aka muslin look with my fabric. I plan on sashing with black.

Happy hunting, cutting folding and mailing.

JaniceMcC - I sent the email and will get the sample F8s sent. Debating between a modern print and a modern print. Something new for me.

I plan on sending 3 fabrics that I will use to make charity baby quilts. The flying zebra fabric I used long ago in a boom and I have 3 blocks left from that. The remaining zebra fabric I cut into 6 pieces about 20 x 15 inches. So, if you have a block that needs extra width, I hope you get this fabric. There are 9 pieces of the floral fabric and 4 of the puppy fabric. I have a lot of the puppy fabric so it will turn up again in the future. Attached is a picture of my fabric and a charity baby quilt made with the puppy fabric.

Boom 28 was the last boom I participated in, If you want to see the quilts I have been doing the past 4 years, my FB albums are public. Just search Elise Jane Stone and have a look around in my quilt album.
