I have sons and grandsons and sometimes feel slighted because I can't make "cutsey" stuff for them. However, I absolutely love what you've done with Joey's quilt! Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful quilt! I can relate to the difficulty with needing control regarding scrappy piecing. I have the same problem. My daughter came up with a solution for me. I cut a lot of 2 inch squares and then she put them in a brown paper sack. She challenged me to take a square without looking and then I had to use it as the next piece in my block. It was a very painful experience but the resulting quilt was gorgeous!
