    have you ever just put it on the bed using it as a bedspread without being quilted.the hexagons look like they have been stuffed. I made two of these grandmother's flower garden to be used only as spreads. that was back in 1980, I still have mine not sure what happen to the one I did for my mother. they were sewn by hand. they were made out of double knit fabric. A friend of mine still makes double knit(not the jersey knit kind) quilts for our cold winters here in Ohio.

    Wow, hours and hours of work went into that. I like to think the quilter would be delighted to know her top went to someone who appreciates it. I'm making one now out of regular cotton just like it but with pale green around each flower. If my family doesn't want it, making someones day works for me.
