Thanks everyone for this post. I now have some online companies to look at. Just getting started and reading all I can get my eyes on. I had no idea fabric was so different. Just called my hubby to go to Harbor fright and look for blades. I use them in my scrap book craft also.

I emailed the Connecting Threads catalog to my daughters to shop from for me. The prices are good, the quality is good, and the service is good. Sometimes they complain that I am hard to buy for, so figured I would help them a little, even sent them my wish list. How good is that?

I am working on a quilt right now that I purchased as a kit from CT. Great price for the kit and I was very impressed with the quality of the material and they certainly were not skimpy with the amount of fabric!!

Even after making some cutting mistakes (oops!)I will probably have enough fabric left over to make a table runners, small wall hangings etc.

Also have been pleased with the thread I have purchased from them.

I purchased some when they first started business and wasn't very pleased. Has their fabric changed, I'm afraid to try them again.

I have bought several kits and yardage and have never been disappointed. I think it is superior to Hancocks and JoAnns. Just my opinion!

They have some great sales on kits from time to time and have bought several of them too!

I have never had any problems with connecting threads fabric and I would grade them higher than joannssss.

I totally agree. And it needles nicely for hand quilting. I compare it to Benartex fabrics.

For my money, they can't be beat!
And this from a former quilt shop owner who was/is a fabric snob, LOL!
