You need to do what you are comfortable with. If it is going to bother you everytime you look at it and suck the pleasure from project, perhaps you need to look at a simpler solution than tearing it all apart.

I think it is just fine. No matter what side you look at it you see a "right side up" lighthouse. It looks like it was totally planned. I would continue as you are going. Good job.

I don't think you need to worry about it. Just go ahead and put on your borders and I'll bet it will look just fine! We are our own worst critics. Just use it as a learning experience!

Love it just the way it is. When I first looked I didn't see anything wrong. Now I would say it is a pattern according to the designer. Love it like it is. It is always right side up from one direction or another. Don't tell. No one will know it wasn't planned that way. Sometimes it's good to keep secrets. Illsa

As far as anyone knows, you meant it to be that way... but if it bothers you enough to make you disgusted with yourself then I would say, take the time to change it. Otherwise, you will wince every time you see it. What would happen if you turned all the blocks with the lighthouses the same way, and then arranged them a different way so they work in that direction? You might need to pick out and change a few pieces, but maybe not that many. In the end you want to be happy with yourself!

It looks planned to me. Like you want it to be viewed from every angle. You are being too hard on yourself.
