I would volunteer to bind it for you, I'm really good at hand binding. Just an offer.

It's beautiful!!! I just LOVE the dog trot cabin you did for the center. Some of our early TX cabins were built that way, too. It kept the heat from the kitchen out of the other parts in the summer, and allowed for open air through the center.
Your quilt is a great pictorial history!

I really appreciate the offer. I'll get to it sometime this coming week. Right now I'm fulfilling orders on machine embroidery and need to get them out first. You are very sweet to offer.

Thank you all for your very nice comments on my quilt. This one really has been a work of love. Being born and raised in Missouri made it all the more special to me. Even though I enjoy sewing patterns and reading about things from that era, I am really glad I did not live in that time. I like all the comforts and conveniences we have now. I could sew on a treadle if I had to, but I like sewing at night and I don't think lamp light would be too good on the eyes. LOL

Wonderful work! I especially love the way you did the cabin.

The book is "Across the Wide Missouri". A block of the month book. Also an interesting read even if you don't make the quilt.
