Just my opinion, but No. 1 is too dark, and makes the trunk the focal point.

The red is nowhere else, like an afterthought. Sorry.

The gecko is too frivolous and also nowhere else.

I would go with the blue that you have on the first row on top of the "ocean", sort of a navy/teal .... not too bright. That will show off the fronds when you pull them out and they will look like they are "in front" of the ocean in the breeze so to speak.

?? just another batik addict with an "opinion". LOL !

Gorgeous quilt top - I like #2 & 3, but also wondered how it would look if you had the batik material like #3 in the blues/turquoise/greens combo.

#3 is bright & colorful - like a vacation to a beach might be :lol:

I love #3. It reminds me of an island in the middle of a gorgeous sunset!
