OK, inquiring minds want to know - after all the ceremony at the abbey, and the parade and the coaches and all that -- do they have a reception? A sit down dinner for -- how many?? Who pays for it, not the bride's family I hope!! Is there dancing? Cutting the cake? Do they do that thing where people tap their forks on their glasses?

They do have a reception but of course all the guests do not get invited. I think it is only the family. The majority of guests are only invited to the abbey. The Prime Minister is having a street party of his own after the ceremony (don't know whether it is in Downing St)

wow, in the US that would be VERY RUDE to invite someone to your wedding but not the reception. Guess when you are royalty you write your own rules.

I shall certainly be watching, can't wait to see the dress she is so beautiful just like Diana was. I hope the weather stays fine not only for her, but us also we are holding a street party for the children. Then i shall just have to do some quilting.
