I like the blocks with the hot pink around them. Not sure about quilting minky. I have never tried it

If you put a woven fusible stabilizer on the back of the minkie you should have no problems. I have used this and had no problems.

    Hi Robyn,

I love your quilt and YES, it can be quilted on a longarm. I have been quilting for the public for 5+ yrs now and have quilted several with minke both front and back, some with blocks of just minke, and one very large quilt with flannel on the front and all minke on the back. You may pay a little extra to your quilter, but they are beautiful and so wonderful to use.

Talk to your quilter and make sure she/he is comfortable working with minke - has experience and knows how to load the minke backing. My Gammill Vision loves minke, I use Glide thread on the top and Sew Fine in the bobbin. I encourage light weight poly batting but have also used Pellon Legacy 80/20 and oh that was wonderful. I really wanted to keep that quilt and tell the customer I would just pay her for it!!! All butterflies, both in piecing and quilting.

Good luck - communicate clearly with your quilter!
