    I think it would depend on what you want it for. I love both, but think that I probably would go for the black first. I don't think of it as "Goth", I would call it mysterious.

    Both would work on landscape type quilts.

    I like the black one. Its a contract to the ordinary and I'd use it just to do something different.

    I would use the black for a rough sea scape with a white sail boat.
    The blue you could use any time, it is vet serene.

    I might use the blue one, but NOT the black!
    Among other reasons, I have found blacks generally fade faster than any other color!
