It's hard to believe that's your first quilt. Super job. Not ugly at all.

I think that when your quilt top is quilted you won't notice the errors. Often quilting makes the quilt. If you still don't like it you can always donate it. But I do like the pattern with the fabrics and colors you used. Border it with black and red, it should really pop.

Nice first quilt - like the colors! I can see a bit of red and a bit of black for borders :-)

I'm running low on fabric and I don't have much cash to go to the store but I do have a brown and red polka dot fabric and white, so I'm gunna use that as the border. I just need to quilt it now and it will be done. I don't feel like I have enough room though, my sewing machine is basic so the arm is short, and tips on how to keep it from getting to much in my way when I am quilting a section?

If you aren't happy with it, use it for a backing; that way, you would have a two-sided quilt. Tks. GG

I think it looks great also. I have had issues with the 1/4" but put a ruler on my machine and taped it down. no more off seams. The colors are great in the quilt.

What?? It's a really nice quilt with good colors and great motion. The big picture doesn't really show the flaws like your closeups do. I think once you quilt it with more motion no one will notice the mismatches, only you and we all know that the first thing we do is focus on looking for our mistakes. Lovely, please finish and post the photos.
