No Roses! Actually, the song says, "There's "A" yellow rose in Texas." That doesn't matter much, but I think putting the roses on the block diminishes it. Simpler is frequently better and your block is perfect just the way it is without the roses. froggyintexas

If I were going to have yellow roses, I'd find some fabric with them and fussy cut them for cornerstones between the flying geese rows rather than the add-ons. I vote for not add on roses.

No roses for me. The block looks great without them and I think they sort of throw off the good, clean lines.

One yellow rose would be enough, since the song goes she is the yellow rose of Texas..
