It is a paper-pieced project called Pythagoras' Lute. Here is the link: http://www.quiltswithstyle.com/main/...oras_Lute.html

I am working on a second one in pastels for my mother, but I like the bright colors!!

okay, so i started my block this morning, and realized that they will be a LOT scrappier than I had planned. Everyone is okay with that?

Here's a pic of the fabrics:

The scrappier the better!

I love made up words!!

Thanks for the compliment -- that's my b/w scraps -- I have a thing for b/w quilts -- just bought fabric today for a b/w/yellow quilt.

I've made a b/w quilt and a b/w/teal quilt.

=)

Ok Girls... I am intrigued with trying a block swap. Because I have never done one before, I have shied away from doing it. So, I have the time for this swap to participate. I love the idea of the blacks and whites with a bright color. It sounds wonderful and interesting. I think I am in for one set maybe two.
I am thinking for one of a disappearing block I saw with a change up to the middle to add the color in.

Does it have to be two different blocks if I join for two sets?

no, we have 36 swappers right now so one one would get two.
