    A tip for those mini Clover irons is to put an office binding clip on the barrel and use the clip as a foot to hold it steady.

    My friend had some kind of device that she had bought for it. But I figure that just brings the cost up even more, it's kinda pricey as it is.
    I'll go for the binding clip.

    You're welcome........I also think that the clip helps for you to avoid grabbing the long hot rod just before the handle, avoiding bad burns.

    several years ago i bought one for myself& 2 for gifts. none of us had ever tried it.was having problems pressing open seams,so decided to give it a whirl..........works great !!hate to think of all the time i wasd w/o it !

    I use the sealing iron. Have worn one out and on the second. Didn't know the name was Hobbico. I have the Clover and it stays in the drawer.

    abought 12 yrs ago i bought clover irons as a gift to my sis,a very good friend & myself. none of us ever used them.i finally tried mine out ,& don't know what took me so long! i love it,esp for opening 1/4 "seams ! now i see they have interchangable headsfor other uses.....haven't tied them yet. but try it,you'll like it !!![don't wait 12 yrs !!!!!!

    have had a clover ironfor 12 yrs,FINALLY got around to trying it,LOVE it !esp great for opening seams. try it ,you'lllike it 1

    Have one and I hate it. too small. I like the travel size iron better. I have a black & decker travel size iron and it is wonderful!

    I may have already said this but,the clover is great for small blocks like the Dear Jane but I prefer the little travel iron for larger blocks.

    Me too. Love my small travel iron. I have had the Rowenta for years and use it a lot.
