I've had a hard time finding more of that forest fabric, but I found it at Hancock's a few months ago (maybe 6 months or more).

This is whats written on the fabric edge, " Early Frost Jim Hansel Licensed to SSI, www.southseaimports.com"

Now if anyone finds this please let me know as I need some more. The boys (2 son & 7 brothers) are asking for theirs. LOL

I have looked everywhere I can think of to look but have found nothing. I did find these from Robert Kaufman. Guess we are out of luck.

Glad you found it. I had to go to Walmart last nite & was looking around thinking maybe they might have something but no. Wilmington's showed Jim HAnsel fabrics but not Southsea Imports. Found some fabric by Ron Jenkins. It has some panels & a bunch of fish related fabrics. Some really good water scenes but nobody around here sells that brand. I guess It probably wouldn'take a whole lot of fabric to cut the blocks to embroidery & a little for trim. I will save that shop. Thanks again. You bad girl, now you got me started on a new project & I haven't finished what I already have started.

LOL that's how I get started on all my projects. See something I like and it in the brain until done. I'm not quit don with this one because I used a very heavy batting (hubby's choice) so I could not do the quilting on my machine. I'm having to tie the layers, then I'm adding hand quilting just on the top but most of that doesn't show because I'm doing it in colors to blend in. I'll post final pic when I'm done. Still not sure how to add the swirls around the fish (to make them look right) but I'm still playing with it so maybe that will happen.

use your walking foot/quilting foot and move the quilt to the left and the right with your hands while stitching. just something to give the fish areas movement like water.
sounds good to me!! Love the quilt!

OK I did all that I'm going to do on this one. My hubby say he didn't want to wait any more. LOL It's his now. But he did let me take pictures. I still might go back and put some water stitching on later but for now, I'm done.

Finished "My Crappie Quilt" Top

Going to order that fabric this week. Hopefully with all the boys in school soon I will have time for me for a change. Will be a fight over this one.
