1962 - wow first attempt - how cool is that and great colors.
I am trying to decide if I can afford a 6 day retreat with Carol Doak, I would love to go...

I took one of Carol Doak's classes and she is the best in my book. Fun to PP with her instructions. She has a web site you can get information from. Its www.caroldoak.com Marge

Hi,

I just learned to paper piece today as my friend showed me at her house. She gave me a bag of scraps so I came home and made my 1st paper piece block. I am posting a picture of it!

I have made maybe ten different blocks and just made a doll quilt paper pieced. I love it.

I had to have hands on help when my second pp'ed block was a birds in flight. I didn't know to move the triangles on either side down so I didn't loose my seam allowance on the sides. But once I was shown that I was on my way. Next I want to learn how to paper piece around curves.
