Thank you, I live in Southern Australia and we weren't in the cyclone area but we have just had heaps of rain, we have been told that we will get the tail end of the cyclone in the next couple of days with more rain, rain, rain but without the wind. It truely has been horrific for all the Queenslanders.

Thank you, I am very impressed with everyone's encouragement and will post some more pics soon. I live in Renmark on the River Murray so we are expecting the river levels to rise by the day. Heres hoping we don't get flooded like Victoria today.

My profile pic is from our trip on the Queen Mary 2 back in 2007. We had an awesome time and have been on her again last year to Africa - just wonderful. We went on the old Queen Elizabeth two years ago - 6 weeks from New York to Sydney. Amazing, awesome etc. I have picked up lots of fabrics along the way in our overseas and local travels. I just need to find time to do all the sewing that I want to.

Welcome to this wonderful website. I love your quilts. We have a good friend in Perth who came to visit us here in East TN. He helped me carry out a joke at the School I was working at. One of the longtime teachers had a paper snowman about 6" tall that would hang in her classroom and when snow was even mentioned her whole class would do a snow dance. We were trying to build a house during this time so I kidnapped the snowman. Before long I had other teachers helping with ransom notes, a bag of ice cubes, carrot, coal pieces were posted on the board with a plea for help. It was also posted on a motorcycle group asking guys to send postcards from where ever they lived and sign it Fred. Well, Tom in Perth sent postcards often and when he came to states he stopped by the school to visit the students and meet had Fred. Maybe that is why I like making quilts with snowmen! We had alot of fun.
I hope you enjoy your visit when come over. There is a great quilt shop I will send you info Privately.
