i did this once..only once...we lived in Ketchikan, AK at the time and the parents had to fly back to VA to attend the funeral of the man's mother...the day before they were due to finally come home (after 10 days) was 9-11! Yes, THE 9-11!

Rent some videos, do some crafts, take them out ...somewhere...anywhere...offer a reward to the kids that behave the best???

You are not getting paid enough..............

A question was asked on this board many months ago about different games to play with kids. One of our very refined, regular members suggested the game of 'cowboys and indians' and tie them to the kitchen chairs for a few days. Don't shot the messenger, I just remember it being said. Let's see what that member is made of and see if she will announce herself.

I forgot to mention that there are also 2 dogs. The first morning one of them bit me. Not bad, didn't bleed, but ouch and how annoying!
I like the idea of the cowboy and Indian game! lol
