I am waiting for my next class so I can do some work on the quilt project I am making. In the meantime since I know nothing about quilting yet I found instructions on how to make a rag basket. So I thought it would give me an opportunity to learn my new sewing computer and practice stitching so here is what I made. The last picture is of a very tired me displaying my first basket attempt.

See attached pic's please.

Great basket! Good luck with quilting, I'm most sure you'll love it and do mighty fine. Love your sewing machine!

OOH, very nice. Love the colors. I have this book, but have never gotten around to trying it, but it's on my list..

Love your basket and your new "sewing computer". Look forward to seeing more posts as you take those classes.

That's a nice looking basket. I'd like to make one some day.

If you can do that, surely you can tackle a quilt! lol
I think the baskets look harder.

I like the basket....where did you find the pattern. Looks like maybe I could do that! I agree that if you can do that you can make a quilt. Once you make one you will be hooked!!

I got it from Quick and Easy Weekend Quilting with Sulky #900B-16.

I can post the instructions if you can't find it or if it is easier.
