Austria quilters????
#1
Are there any of you out there???? My exchange student from Austria goes home in June and would like to set her up with some of you and also find out where you buy fabrics on line there. I'm teaching her to quilt and sending her home with lots of sewing stuff but there is no longer a quilt store in her town.
I'm going to set her up on this quiltboard too.

Here's a list a bunch of Austrian quilt bloggers. I'm sure by reading or contacting them she should be able to the lowdown.

That said, my German, Romanian, Brit and Israeli friends buy the majority of their fabric online from US sites and eBay sellers, and have it shipped to me. They take advantage of the low/free shipping offers. I then consolidate it and ship it on to them. ;-). They save a ton on shipping.

No hand stuff right now. I don't do much by hand either.

The shipping is a big concern for her beings she is only 15.
I'm just hoping she keeps quilting once she returns home.
She is finishing up her USA quilt now. Thanks
