Thank you for all the kind words! The quilt is a BOM and I made the label on my printer using a piece of freezer paper (to stabilize the fabric) and the cut out the heart and needle turned it onto the quilt. Mom is in a nursing home and I have given strict instructions that they DO NOT wash the quilt, I will be doing the washing. She just loved it and started to get teary eyed when she realized I made it for her. Thanks again everyone! You all brought tears to my eyes as well!

your quilt (your mom's quilt) is very pretty. She is going to love it! Sorry about your mom having Alzheimers...my husband had a stroke 4 years ago and he now has moderate alzheimers. It isn't easy.Hang in there and love her all you can!

The quilt is awesome! I understand the need to complete it asap. My father-in-law was 99 with a wound that wouldn't heal. He was living in our home and we knew his days were numbered so I made a quilt for him celebrating his 100th year-not as as intricate as yours- but he had it for his last 6 wks with us. I am so glad as he passed away after 99.5 yrs on March 28, 2011. I would like to use ideas from your signed patch if you do not mind.

Your Mom is going to love stroking and petting this lovely quilt. Be sure to bring the quilt home for washing when it needs it - YOU will do it right!
