I would be a great candidate for foundation piecing :D:D:D

Any pattern can be foundation pieced but that is not always the best method--especially for something like this pattern where it is mainly strips and snowballs. This one looks difficult because it has been diagonally set and they've used partial blocks in the first (invisible) border to make the design "float". Go for it! This is a simple design. You can do it!

There are really only two types of blocks in this pattern. The pattern is called "Around the Twist'. I know Trudie Hughes had a pattern in one of her books.

Sorry, didn't see the previous question. I probably wouldn't paper piece this pattern. You have to sew a partial seam on the one block, do the other sides, then come back and finish the first seam. The free pattern from in the beginning is only for the borders.

I just finished one of those. The pattern was from "Best Loved Quilt Patterns" Binder from Oxmoor House called "Twist".

It's a simple block pattern with the blocks set together from corner to corner.
