Striving for perfect will make you very tired. Try for lovely for someone you love.

I keep my house messy so my friends can feel better about their messy homes, so I certainly want my quilts to be less than perfect so that others won't be too intimidated to make a quilt for me some day. Sure that's it!! Yep, definitely!! Go ahead and make me a quilt anyone, you can definitely do as good a job as I do, and most likely better!! SMILES AND HUGSSSSS!

PS: Don't make it too perfect, you don't want to make me feel badly about my quilting skills! :D

The favorite saying at our house (daughters and I often entered the county fair for fun) was, for anything less than desired, "It's O.K.--it's not going to the fair anyway."

One of the quotes in our friendship group is:
"Finished is better than perfect".
Your blocks are really sweet and pretty. So what else counts? Do what you think is best and never mind others.

You all have been wonderful ! I am plugging along and have nine blocks now.. and after ripping out last seam of the 10 min. block, one chance block that worked out.. am using it as an example. will post pictures of progress for this crazy idea tomorrow !! It is cute. Thank you. Love the fussy cut fabric. the little sweet faces have been saved for special quilts and is no longer for sale. I have searched every site on the Internet...
Much less stressed after reading all the encouraging words!

Thanks so much !!
Ell
PS Margarita's and me don't match ! hah! That too was a nice hint.. If I just relaxed bet it would go smoother !

Yes, 10 min block that is lasting 3 days and counting ! hah!
made it much harder this time. First used blocks of same fabric and it looked like one BIG piece of fabric with an accent. Did the mixed fabrics and it was nice. This is wonderful if the rotation is good ! So, nice idea for the accent.. but 10 mins.. eerrzzzp.. nope .. not this time ! hah!

It depends on whether you can live with an inperfection or not. Amazing but after a while you will learn to look at things and say "I can live with that" and move on.
