The good news is that recently I bought a seam ripper. For the first time in my life I actually purchased one. I've always used the crappy seam rippers that always came with the sewing machine - you know the kind. Well, I decided that I wanted one that was more ergonomically designed for my hand. So I went out and I bought a Clover.

The bad news is that I have a date with it tonight!

But I DO like the way it fits in my hand and I have had such a sharp and precise ripper. Why did I wait so long??

I've heard that the Clover ones (is it white?) are the best. Good luck. The "date tonight" was meant to be, as was waiting for the proper tool. Good luck.

I'll have to get a clover one. I tried the knife type and don't like it. The one that came with my machine is actually a pretty decent one but I need spares.

It's a great seam ripper. I bought one a few months ago and like you had only used the cheapo, free ones. It almost makes ripping out a pleasure (almost).
