If you get a chance this year, plant some Cherokee purple heirloom tomatoes!
We had our first today and they are delicious! They aren't the most beautiful tomatoes, but oh that flavor!!!!!

I thought about planting one but the look on the inside turned me away. You sure got a rip tomato early, I won't get any untel around the 4th of July. I wish I had some rip tomatoes, they are almost $3.00 a lb. so I buy any.

For a real tomato...even when I grow them they don't taste like the ones we had as a kid.

Our summer veggy was sliced tomatoes - makes me drool!

I love tomatoes but I couldn't even get something that looked like that anywhere near my mouth. I don't even like foods to touch on a plate!

I thought it's an heirloom variety - wonder if I can get some here. Can't plant any tomatoes/eggplants etc. in Perth 'til September. Hopefully I'll get my rear into gear and get my beds prepped and good to go - all these pics you are posting are getting me inspired!
