this is just darn cool - http://blog.sewhooked.org/

Jennifer Ofenstein spent nearly two years putting together this rather elaborate paper-pieced Harry Potter quilt, and is now sharing the patterns on her site — one block at a time.

She writes:

This quilt is more [than] just a million bits of fabric stitched together. It represents all the years I’ve loved Harry Potter and some of my favorite things about the series. It has brought me friends, and fans, and brought more quilters that I can count into the wonderful world of paper piecing.

I have been following this series since the beginning. I have yet to make a block though. I am so backlogged with my sewing!

My kids are just now reading the series and both of them are liking the books.

I'm following it. I made the first few blocks but ran out of background fabric. I failed to read the part that said I needed 3 yards of background fabric. Like with her smaller blocks, I'll finish them both one day.
