Oh thanks for this information. I have wondered about the circle attachment. I've seen the first one on a tv show. But didn't want to spend the money on one for my old machine. I've gotten a new machine, but the can guide the fabric so nicely, that I am going to try and see if I can do this. Thanks again.

I had a teacher show me how to do circles and the cost is under a $. You use a thumb tack with a piece of tape on it so that you can tape it (pointed side up) to your machine then put your material on it and you a pencil eraser (I used one from the mechanical pencil) on the tack to hold the material down. Where ever you put the tack at will be the center of the circle and it almost walks itself around as you sew. I keep it taped to the side of my machine. Janome wanted $36 for the attachment that did the same thing. This will work with all machines. Sorry, I didn't see the above until after I posted this. It really does work

no you have to have the attachment , it's what makes the fabric go around as it stitches. but you could try anything you think might work - then you'll know.

Hi All,
More or less the same subject! Went to the quilt show in Hampton Roads,VA this spring and saw a demonstrator using a generic attachment that produced perfect seams on a Drunkards Path Block. The Gentleman stated that it worked on all brands of machine and was in the $60.00 range. My plan had been to go back to the booth and purchase it. As all best laid plans - didn't get back to the booth and lost the vendors card.
Anyone have any clue as to what the attachment was called or who the vendor might have been?
Thanks in advance for any information.

it seems to me it would be just like using the thumb tack. where ever you place it will determine the center of the circle

That sounds like a fantastic idea. I'm going to try it and you are a genius for thinking of it. Thank you so much.
