    I was on a quilting retreat earlier this year and the project that we all did was the Celtic Knot. This one is not mine but a friend of mine and she asked me to quilt it. The pattern showed doing a floral pattern in both the knot and the back ground.... I just couldn't see doing that with this one. With her knot fabric being swirls..... that is what I did both in the knot and in the last border. Then I did a Celtic knot in the smaller border.
