I raise Dachshunds...
I had a puppy buyer this spring, she referred a friend to me and now that person is getting a puppy.
I want to send her a Thank-you gift for the referal.
So this is what I made today.
I appliqued and made a quilted tote bag.
Before you ask NO PATTERN, just went pencil and paper all the way to machine, making it up as I went.
I am bad at selecting fabrics I was going for country. Not sure what you'd call this.
I do think its cute, but is it gift worthy? I don't really know the lady, we are friendly, but not friends.
Not fishing for compliments. If it needs improvements, colors fabrics, Doesnt' look like a Dachie... Etc. I might have this as a rough draft and make another.
So yes? No? don't quit your day job?

upclose of face, I think the ears are too small. I don't know.

That is adorable! I think she will adore it. No need to be "perfect" on your proportions - this one shows the fun side through the fabric choices
