Machine piece or quilt during the daytime on the days I am not working. I usually hand piece or quilt by hand in the evenings for around 3-4 hours.

I like to quilt in the daytime. I've ried sewing at night but ran into too many seams that didn't match and cutting the wrong size strips, etc. I will finish off the binding by handstitching it down at night, no problems there.

Another reason I don't sew at night is that my sewing room is over our bedroom. Once I did sew at night never realizing the sound of my machine was giving DH nightmares of trains coming at him. LOL!

That's a good one May

I quilt in the evenings during the week and during the day on the weekend.

Now that I am home for the summer I can quilt as long as I am not needed to mow lawns or paint the house.

Daytime only. I usually know it's time to quit after frogging
(ripping) twice. That's usually around 6pm.

Work full time - at the prison running the quilting program, so for personal quilting, it's evenings & weekends.

During the week I work on quilts at night since I work during the day. On the weekends I prefer the daytime. This week I am on vacation from work so I get to quilt during the day and night. Yippe

I quilt whenever I can, day or night. However, I do enjoy the daytime because I have beautiful bay window in my sewing room. I like opening the blinds & having natural sunlight to sew by. But, if I am in need of soem Quilting Therapy I am going to sew regardless of the time of day.

I see that you're another 'Jersey girl'. How is it down by The Shore now that summer is here, bet it's really crowded and that's why you're indoors quilting in the day time. May

Wow, how true! So, I guess the answer is whenever the two cats are otherwise occupied. Seriously, though, I have finally learned that if I push to get through a deadline, I usually wind up having to rip, or re-do. Too tired = mistakes!
