Here is a vintage rose print scrappy that I just finished after tooooo many years. The piecing is a hot mess, but I like the end result.

Krystyna my friend ~

WOWZERS (post 2930) talk about a bed of roses!!!! My-oh-my how long did you collect rose prints, they are gorgeous?
Applause for finishing this quilt and not letting it languish as a UFO.

Default Country Roads

Yesterday was my birthday and I gave myself a wonderful present -- I finished this postage stamp variation that I've had in the works for a while. The formal pattern name is Country Path by Kaye England, but I named it Country Roads after the John Denver song that my husband and I loved to harmonize to on long road trips. It is 102 inches square.

The quilt is made up of 3 different blocks but to make sewing the blocks together easier, I made "megablocks" using a Triple 9-Patch block, 2 of the long rectangular blocks, and a rounded-off 81-patch square. The quilt body took 5x5 megablocks, with a half row of blocks along one side and one end to make it symmetrical.

Post 2936, your quilts are lovely! It was very clever to break them down into smaller sections.

I just finished this scrappy comfort quilt for a little girl who loves yellow. I had so much fun random piecing these blocks from my scraps. I love how it came out.

I'm always amazed at people who make postage stamp quilts! DDuMouchel your quilt is amazing! POST 2936 I love the pattern and the scraps you used the colors just pop all over those Country Roads!

My husband and I both really enjoy John Denver's music talent. I knew his mother as she was a patient of the doctor I worked for in Aurora, Colorado. A wonderful family with no sense of celebrity or expectation of entitlement.

Happy belated birthday! Hope you were able to do whatever your heart desired and by finishing this quilt it certainly seems so.
