Moved to New Jersey amost 49 years a go, DH and I are orginally from Brooklyn, New York. I've been quilting almost 10 years and I love it. I discovered quilting messages boards about 9 years ago and it opened a whole new world of ideas and friends for me.
We've been married almost 54 years, have three sons who are married and have been blessed with 9 beautiful grandkids, ages 8 - 26. Most of our family live and/or work in New Jersey/New York area with one son in CA. We travel a lot visiting family and friends and sometimes just for the fun of it. When traveling I always try to arrange meeting with internet quilting pals and, of course, they take me to their favorite quilt shops, etc. Met some really great quilters this way.
I belong to a Guild and am active in it. Haven't done much quilting recently but hope to at least go into my sewing room this afternoon. Need to work on a quilt for a friend and also a challenge for one of my small quilting groups. We all read Cross Country Quilters and each of us are to make a quilt inspired by something from the story. Slow going for me to design a quilt from scrath but I'm keeping at it.
