I have 3 cats and 3 shepherds. We have a gate up to keep the shepherds from running over the cats. It gives the cats a "dog free" zone for food, water and litterbox. My shepherd, Zeuss loves the cats and would never hurt them. My other 2 shepherds make too much noise for the cats and it scares them. Zeuss will sit like a statue for hours, just staring at the cats. They touch noses through the gate and sometimes I will open the gate and the cats will come out and rub on Zuess.

Shepherds, IMHO, are the greatest dogs! Very smart and loyal!!

This is a picture of all the dogs!

    Cute, cute pictures.

I keep my doxie, Wolfie, gated in the kitchen to keep him out of the cats room. The cats go in and visit him every once in a while. His brother cat, Merlin, likes to go into the puppy kingdom and have his ears cleaned by Wolfie. It's so cute to watch.

Poor puppy! No kitty rocha for him! LOL! We had a covered box and had to turn it with the opening to the wall so the boxer wouldn't indulge in her favorite treat. Blech!
