Is there any hope for this quilt??

I just finished a baby quilt. It is made with all LQS flannel. Part of the flannel is royal blue with yellow & white dots. Cute cute fabric. I finished hand sewing the binding on tonight. Washed & dryed it. Now the quilt is all full of lint. Has anyone ever had this experience? Is there anything I can do. I made this for a friend and now I don't know if I can still gift it?? I tried using a lint roller but that doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for your time. Mary Frances :(

I'd wash it again...we have made flannel quilts that require two washings...make sure to clean out your lint filter in your dryer a few times during the drying cycle...it helps to get rid of some of the lint...we also put wraps of masking tape around our hand to clean them up...seems its better at catching the lint than the rollers...hope this helps

I think it has happened to a lot of us, at least once. I did the packing tape around the hand method, then pulled up and scissor clipped off the remaining pills. It's a pain in the a**, but it works. You should only have to clip it once. The quilt will be beautiful.

One other thing..check your drain on your washer too...it can get clogged. If you have front loader, you can end up with a washer full of water that has no where to go but out onto the ground as you clean the drain! (yep, learned the hard way!)
