Ohh, that's a good one! But, alas, no, I work for one of those passive/agressive companies that doesn't give a set number of days to use up. We can't roll over unused vacation either. I know I shouldn't wish my life away, but.......

It makes it a bit easier to know I am not the only one ;)

Remember to set aside some of the money you are making so when you can stay home and quilt. You will have the means to do so. Look at work as a way to finance your quilting.

Sigh - me too. 5 years, four months, 3 days until possibly retiring but who's counting!

I have to work too, and am not sure I will ever be able to retire. I told my daughter a few months ago that I have a new retirement plan. Work til I am 65-70 (sigh) and then move in with her. Haha!! Except where will I put my quilting studio? Hmmmm...that plan may need to be revised.

I said I was going to retire at 50 and stay home and quilt. I got an intro into what it is going to be like..(unemployed and looking for work.) Use to hate being home until I learned to quilt. It is a cure to insanity of the work force.

I did just that! My retirement was not of my choosing - I was still a year away from my regular retirement age so lost some SS money.
Gave up my money pit house and moved in with one of my daughters - at her request. Lost my sewing room but I have small table for cutting & machines in my brdroom. I did that for years, I can do it again! I don't have to do a thing if I don't want to except pick up my 2 DGSs after school! It's wonderful and my stress level has plummeted! I sew, get on the QB everyday! My wish came true & I love it!!

Now that I'm retired I wonder how I had time to work, of course it that's longer to do things now.
