I found this in a box of my moms stuff while unpacking and setting up my new sewing room. I can't figure out what it is to look online to see how to use it, so naturally, I thought of all you! Can anybody help me? Please?

Possibly a pressure foot for one of her machines? Do you know what kind of machines she had that could be a clue on what machine it fit on. If in fact that it is a pressure foot. Good luck. I am sure someone will come along and tell you exactly what it is and what machine it would fit.

Its a ruffler attachment. Here is a video on how to use it! Easier than me explaining! I have one & use it alot when making dress, curtains, aprons, ruffled edges on baby quilts, etc.

She had an emdigo (sp?) and a smaller brother. At one time she had a singer, and some kind of treadle machine but couldn't find them when we packed her stuff to bring over to my house..... :(

It looks to me like it came from the singer machine does it have any engraved name or numbers on it that you can google? Some rufflers are universal some arnt! You could take it to your local sewing dealer to find out.

It looks like a short shank, so it might fit any short shank machine, which most are.

I have one with my singer. It is for making ruffles or gathered skirts.

That is a ruffler/pleater foot. On top you will see a little lever that can be set on 1, 6, or 12. That will change the number of pleats per inch. Set on 1 for soft pleating, and 12 for tight pleating.
