Thanks for the so many welcomes. I feel like I will fit in here nicely.

Do any of you know if there is an area that we can trade fat quarters? I have some I would like to trade for vintage/retro kid prints/

First of all--welcome to the board, from Georgia. No snowbanks here either (and you can keep 'em!!!) I love your avatar photo too. I have never attempted a grandmother's flower garden.

Look on the home page here and you will see a link to Fabric Swap. Just start a thread and let everyone know what you have that you want to swap. You should get a good response.

HI CATHY, I TOO LIVE IN WASHINGTON STATE, OLYMPIA, BUT I GREW UP IN WASHBURN, WISCONSIN. PERHAPS I KNOW YOU. I HAVE FAMILY THAT LIVES IN BAYFIELD, WASHBURN, AND ASHLAND. YES IT IS GODS COUNTRY, MY MOTHER SAID THE TEMP WAS -13 THIS MORNING WITH CHILL FACTOR OF -30. SORRY I DO MISS THE SNOW, BUT NOT THAT COLD. HAVE YOU CHECKED OUT THE BAYFIELD QUILT SHOP. SHE HAS PAPER PIECE PATTERNS FOR ALL THE LIGHTHOUSES AROUND THE ISLANDS. STAY WARM. RITA
